Cancer Progress
The Premier Cancer Conference
for Healthcare Executives

March 7-8, 2006
The Yale Club, New York

Next year's conference will be held on March 6 & 7, 2007
at the Westin New York

We are entering a new era of personalized medicine wherein small molecules
that target enzymes, monoclonal antibodies that target surface proteins and
vaccines that target internal proteins can be designed for the individual pathways
that cause different cancers. Multiple therapeutic strategies are being combined to produce even better results.

Cancer Progress 2006, the premier cancer conference for executives in the pharmaceutical and biotech community, took place at the Yale Club in New York City on March 7-8, 2006. Now in its seventeenth year, this conference explores innovative preclinical and clinical efforts which will revolutionize cancer therapy. World class scientists, top oncology-focused executives and leading financial analysts explore these new approaches, discuss their impact and provide perspectives on technical and commercial rationale. Individual presentations and stimulating panels spark intriguing discussions of the possibilities and ramifications of specific areas of drug research. The intimate atmosphere of this conference lends itself to expansive audience interaction.

In terms of commercial value, the potential of targeted therapies is finally becoming a reality. Worldwide the market for cancer therapeutics is more than $20 billion, with annual projected growth rates of 15-20%. Monumental changes in our understanding of the biology of various cancers have lead to a more systematic approach to their management. Advances in the treatment of localized, advanced and metastatic disease have contributed greatly to improved outcomes for patients who are diagnosed with cancer. New concepts in prevention as well as the identification of genetic markers and therapeutic targets hold great promise in preventing some cancers and further extending the survival of patients. Clinical trials of novel therapies given earlier in the course of disease to patients with mutations are underway – leading to a generation of “personalized therapeutics”. Clinical results of these approaches will determine the blockbuster therapies of the next decade.

Presentations are targeted to executives who are concerned with the big picture in oncology research and development. Networking is at its height throughout this conference, which includes continental breakfasts, refreshment breaks, luncheons and a gala cocktail reception. We invite you to join us and be a part of this important annual meeting.

We were honored to have The Mattson Jack Group, Merck, Wyeth, Gene Network Sciences and the National Foundation for Cancer Research as sponsors of the 2006 meeting.
